who danced with the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo from 1935, remembers:

He kills everybody, and his warriors kill all the slaves that have
been having great fun while he was away ... she had to climb up the steps
in the scenery and a warrior was running after her and with a sword cut
her head. And for one minute, I don't know how she did she had some red
dye and she used to splash all that red dye around over her face and neck
and lie on the steps head down with all that blood oozing from her neck.
