Artist: ARTHUR MERRIC BOYD POTTERY Birth/Death: 1944–1962 Title: Plate with kangaroos, lyrebirds and ferns Credit Line: National Gallery of Australia, Canberra. In 1944 the Arthur Merric Boyd Pottery was founded at Murrumbeena, Victoria. With artists such as Neil Douglas, it produced domestic pottery with energetic painted decoration of Australian landscape, fauna, flora and designs imitating Aboriginal art.
