Born Rome 1585, Died Rome 1652. He was the son of a second hand dealer and taught himself to paint. After visits to Florence and Naples Caroselli settled in Rome. His work was greatly influenced by Caravaggio and although his output was small he was listed in 1636 among the academicians of the Accademia di S Luca.
