The fall offers a space within which we may hear or sense another atmosphere, and as such can be defined by its fragility and potentiality rather than its solidity or completeness. One is confronted with the complete folly of war as one explores the fall of an anonymous airman, his impact with water, and the subsequent fall of both himself and the parachute that envelopes him to the bottom of the sea. The video implies a narrative, yet focuses instead on the event of the fall and the sculptural forms of the parachute as the death is foretold.
