Donation and bequests
The Gallery has acquired many significant works of art with funds provided through donations. Donations can be made either to the National Gallery of Australia or through the National Gallery of Australia Foundation.

Being a member of the National Gallery allows you to enjoy exclusive exhibition viewings, participate in members-only programs and workshops, be stimulated by engaging events, meet like minded people
Become a volunteer guide
Voluntary guides have always been an integral part of the Gallery's services since 1981, the year before the Gallery opened.
Amongst other benefits becoming a guide offers free NGA Membership, a 15% discount at the Gallery shop and restaurants Free access to exhibitions.
